Not Necessarily Beautiful But Mutated, is an album series of DEVO cover songs, and songs inspired by the group. NNBBM is sold (almost) annually to support of the International DEVO-tional gathering held in Akron & Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
Each various-artist cd album was sold at the DEVO-tional and briefly online. Rural War Room's Byron Werner and Donavan Suitt produced, recruited-for, and performed on this and other DEVO-related projects starting in '09.
In 2000, the DEVO Fan Club, associated producers, and musicians began to compile and release albums of DEVO cover songs recorded by recording-artist-friends of the band, fans and outsiders. The most ambitious of artists featured on NNBBM DEVO cover-albums also performed at the 2 day DEVO-tional fest! 2 stages of amazing, devolved punk & wave.
